Setophaga petechia, Setophaga cinsine bağlı bir kuş türüdür.[2][3]
Özellikleri
[değiştir | kaynağı değiştir]Ortalama 10-18 cm (3,9-7,1 in) uzunluğunda, 16-22 cm (6,3-8,7 in) kanat aralığında, 7-25 g (0,25-0,88 oz) ağırlığındadır. 5,5-7 cm (2,2-2,8 in) kanat genişliğine, 3,9-5,6 cm (1,5-2,2 in) kuyruk uzunluğuna, 0,8-13 cm (0,31-5,12 in) uzunluğunda gagaya ve 1,7-2,2 cm (0,67-0,87 in) uzunluğunda tarsusa sahiptir.[4]

Besin
[değiştir | kaynağı değiştir]Besinlerinin %60'ını tırtıllar oluşturur. Yaban arısı[5], güve, sivrisinek, çekirge ve böcekler,.[6] böcek larvaları ve örümcekler besinleri arasındadır.[7]
Coluber constrictor foxii ve Thamnophis sirtalis,[8] özellikle yuvalarına saldıranlardandır. Corvus brachyrhynchos, Cyanocitta cristata,[9] Tamiasciurus hudsonicus[9] Mephitis mephitis, Neogale frenata, Procyon lotor,[4][10] Vulpes vulpes, Falco sparverius, Accipiter cooperii, Accipiter striatus, Falco peregrinus, Falco columbarius, Bubo virginianus, Megascops asio avcıları arasındadır.[10][11]
